In the West End of Edinburgh’s New Town, in an area known as Haymarket, the hotel is situated within a 10 minute walk of Princes Street, Lothian Road and the EICC.
If you are staying for leisure, sports enthusiasts will be happy with Tynecastle and Murrayfield stadiums within walking distance, as are Carickvale and Murrayfield golf clubs. In addition to this, the main shopping and entertainment areas are just 10 minutes away.
The Apex European is also ideal for business guests, with 3 meeting rooms on the ground floor offering meeting space for up to 80 delegates. A range of conferencing and events are available within the hotel, ranging from one-on-one meetings to a 100 reception.

The 66 en-suite rooms are stylish and contemporary, offering a choice of Standard and Executive rooms.
Creatively designed, the rooms have limited edition artwork on the walls and come with large screen television. Furthermore the rooms also have a choice of pillows and specially blended Apex toiletries in the bathroom.
For those who have to work a purpose built and ergonomically designed desk and chair ensure that you are comfortable while you work.
From the Airport:
Either take taxi, the Airport Link double decker bus to Haymarket or the Airport Shuttle bus, which will stop at the hotel.
From Haymarket Station:
Edinburgh’s 2nd Railway station is only 2 minutes walk from the hotel:
- Exit the station and turn left along Haymarket Terrace.
- Continue walking and cross the road at the pedestrian crossing.
- Continue along the opposite side of Haymarket Terrace until the road opens at the bus stop; the Apex European sits away from the road on the right-hand side.
By car:
From Glasgow:
- Take the A8.
- Follow signs to Haymarket Station.
- Once you reach Haymarket, head for Haymarket Terrace, with the Railway station on the left-hand side.
- Continue along the road for 500 yards and the Apex European Hotel sits on the right-hand side, just before Donaldson House, which is the large building within the high railings.
